This out of the ordinary place is spread out over three floors, where design and authenticy coincide.
La Gare Robert Doisneau is made up of 2 galleries, that are unique in France! It is actually the only place where there is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the famous photographer : Robert Doisneau.
On the ground floor, you will find photographs of Robert Doisneau on holiday in the Dordogne and in the Lot, at the beginning of the Second World War in August 1939. Some of the photographs he took are of very well known landscapes in the area, his family holidays, canoeing trips… Some timeless photographs also show an unchanged Dordogne.
Slices of life
in the Périgord Noir and the LotOn the first floor, the theme is « Slices of Life », a topic used multiple times by Robert Doisneau. Here you will discover photographs of « historical characters » from our beautiful area. Including some of « Foies gras Rougié ».
You will also find a photo laboratory in this gallery. You will be able to try out argentic photography with a interactive digital tablet to learn all about the techniques in developping photographs, which are still used today by some passionate photographers.
Temporary exhibitions
La Gare Robert Doisneau also welcomes local photographers who can expose their art all year round, during the temporary exhibitions. This gives people the opportunity to discover the photographic art of itinerant artists.
A multifunctional and multiservices space
The Tourist Office
La Gare Robert Doisneau also accomodates the new Tourist Office of the Pays de Fénelon area.
Here you can get information on all the places to visit, the activities and the festivities in the area and in the whole of the Périgord Noir.

The gift shop offers you a wide range of Robert Doisneau themed products and local-made products from the Dordogne-Périgord area. An original concept in the tourist office is the photobooth, which allows you to take 4 different poses in black and white, you will be able to leave taking with you a personnalised memory!
The Café and Restaurant
What is a train station without its own Café ? The café and restaurant are open from April until November and welcome visitors who come to see the exhibition but also passing cyclists and drivers.
Muriel and Christine Lagodiet who are sisters, offer you a variety of drinks and home-made food, made with local products.
